Our story in a few words
Partners for Life: In family and Business
Our story started years ago. We raised our 5 children. We now have 3 granddaughters and a new grandchild on the way. (We are hoping for a boy.) After working for a big four wheel drive corporation for 18 1/2 years and then 2 small shops for almost 7 years, Greg wanted to take the next step. We discussed what that would look like. Greg and I both wanted to find a way to combine the things we love doing and that make us happy. (You may know the saying, if you love what you’re doing, it isn’t really “Work” then. It really is true.) We love helping people and we love working on vehicles. So, we created G & R Customs and Auto Repair. The “Customs” part is the aftermarket upgrades; such as lift kits and other add on accessories. We also wanted to do the general repair and maintenance almost all vehicles need. We really want our business to be a place were people feel like their vehicle is in good hands. Where our customers know we will treat their vehicle as if one of our own grandchildren were going to be in it.
A few words from Robin: For over 30 years, I have always done the maintenance and repairs on my vehicles and I have helped a few friends with their vehicles. From simple oil changes to engine overhauls and rebuilding carburetors (yes, 4 barrel Rochester Quadrajets). I love getting dirty and fixing what is broken.
A few words from Greg: Throughout the years, I have had a number of different jobs. In Feb 2000, I started working on trucks and jeeps at a major four wheel drive shop. I found I really enjoyed turning the vehicles into what the customers wanted them to be. It made me happy to see the smiles on their faces. Many of those customers have followed me and stayed my customers over 25 years. I hope to make new, long term customers and put smiles on their faces.
